I have been trying to very gentle feel our rescue piggie, Puffles tummy lately to see if she's preggo. Sounds silly, but I guess I was expecting to be able 2 feel guinea pigs in there if she was lol, but I can feel almost like 2 separate firm water balloons, one on each side like saddle bags that go over her back legs. Ive been pretty gentle though since i don't want to hurt her. She doesn't seem to mind and enjoys the attention. I laugh because I swear she looks at me totally not pregnant saying, 'why are you feeling my fat? That's not movement it's gas!'. Been feeling my other 2 sows tummy to compare and they defiantly don't have the same feel to Puffles tummy. It's almost like she has 2 water balloons in there and her bottom end feels heavier. Now in the last 2 weeks since I got her she has been on a much better and proper diet so I guess that can contribute to the heavy butt...after all I have that from some good eating too So what is the best way to describe how a fetus would feel?

At about 4 weeks pregnant sows do indeed feel like they have saddle bags. Its how many of us describe it. Small firm sacks. Dont over handle as this can be a stage where sows absorb or abort if stressed. She sounds like she is a happy pig which is great. In about 2 weeks it will become very obvious if shes inpig.
