Boars Crusty Swollen Nipple....

so my boar Sooty has seemed to have developed a crusty nipple, its swollen as well compared to the other one (which seems to be perfectly normal) now i have heard things about crusty nipples with sows and being ovarian cysts but i havent heard anything about boars having them and i cannot find anything on it on the net. I dont want to rush him down the vet cause he seems perfectly normal nothing really changed behavoir wise, hes still happy, popcorning, hes eating drinking as normal.

Does anyone know anything about this cause im stumped! and im slightly worried too and if i missed something...

he is pooping and urinating as normal too. Maybe im just being paranoid but i just want to be sure!

Try cleaning the area and applying a sudocrem of some kind. Do this for a few days and see if it improves.

Is there a lump or anything behind it?

No no lump just a little bit of a crust and its slightly swollen. It looks a bit like a bit of dirt stuck on there but I will try that and see if it improves! Thanks Kayleigh! He seems perfectly fine, I will need to get my fiancé to help haha sooty is a wriggler haha

Maybe hes just caught it or rubbed it against something and irriated it. Keep it clean and hope the cream helps.

I just cleaned it, and it seems it was a bit of dirt (poop) that had covered it... i have no idea how that works, but as i was cleaning it with some warm water it fell off and i panicked at first but then i noticed it was a bit soft and i could see it had actually pushed sootys nipple back on itself, but it all seems fine now i will keep an eye out for a few days though just to make sure, but hes not very happy with me now anyway haha he always gets grumpy at me after i try and do anything like cutting his nails, bathing etc. Hes lovely otherwise haha i will have a grumpy piggie all night now haha
