At just after 6.30 this evening I looked in on Buffy and found her cleaning a little minature of herself, by 7pm four more babies had joined her making a grand total of five little ones. All came out wriggling and Buffy did such a great job cleaning them up. The colours were a bit of a shock as she is a buff and I put her to a DEW, but I am just happy she and they are all well. Here is a picture at two hours old when I cleaned out the bedding.

I am still trying to work out the colour of the darker ones. She is a buff put to a true dark eyed white. (Both his parents were DEW)
The three of them have dark eyes and pink feet, so my friend is thinking dark eyed golden. But she has been breeding for years and is just as surprised as I am!
The main thing is they all seem to be doing well and mama is eating her veggies and seems quite content with her brood.
Here are the weights: Light sow - 73g Dark sow - 84g Dark boar - 76g Light boar - 83g Dark boar - 66g
The sexing is not 100% accurate yet, I hope to be sure in a couple of days.

I will be keeping the two lighter ones, who have both turned out to be sows. The two darker coat boars have a new home, although they won't be going until the new year when they are bigger. The darker sow I am not sure about. I think my daughter likes her, so she may be kept.
