Hi, I had five babies born just over three weeks ago. They are 3 sows and two boars. One of the boars was starting to rumble etc so I popped both of them in with a surrogate daddy. The rumbling pig thrived but the other boar was the runt of the litter (who I had to help feed in the beginning) and he took into himself and sat in the corner. By the evening I couldn't stand it any more and put him back in with his mum. He ran to her wheeking his head off (brought a wee tear to my eye). He is smaller than all his litter mates, but I am wondering how long it is safe to leave him for, as he obviously still needs mum at the moment.

Hi would leave him until hes 4 weeks then remove. I personally wouldnt risk any longer. Whats his weight like compared to his brother?
Some pigs need that litlte extra time with mum. My boars come out between 3-4 weeks.
