Blind? Possibly sees shadows?

Ok so I think Justin (my piggie) might be blind, you see, I went down to pick him up, he has this box, where its shut like everywhere and then there is a hole type cut out on one side, he is used to these boxes, I have been giving him these type of boxes (a new box each week) for over a yer.
Well he sometimes pushes it one way or another, it was facing the door. His cage is in a corner and he had turned it so that it was facing a wall and slightly towards te corner, so I open the cage door, he hears me and jumps out of the box. Then he stops for a moment, turns to the wall directly away from me, and starts climbing or and squealing because he's getting picked up. Except he was on the other side, instead of jumping where I was he was jumping and facing my shadow, so I gently call him, no reaction (he had stopped squealing by now.) so I lightly pet him on his head then down his back. He turned his head, still like climbing the wall (with his front paws) and then jumps down and slowly walks over, so I slowly reach. Down and pick him up and he not him really, really hard! As I am taking him out of the cage he is trying to escape me like his life depended on it! (Which in the wild I guess it would) then he kept nipping me until I got to my bedroom, I let him on my bead and he wandered around like not having a clue what to do, then almost walked (not jump, or run) off the bed! I stopped him, and he did this like 3 times! He's never done it before!
Then I calmed him down and he layed down against the wall. So I get off the bed and he starts squealing louder then ever before like he can't find'n me. I came back quickly talked and petted him, and he was fine. But now he wanders around around and squeals every little bit and starts like turning frantically. It like seems that he can't figure out where he or I am at.
please help!
Sorry that this is so long I'm just worried about my piggie, and in not sure about how different I'm supposed to care for a blind piggie?

now that I think about it he hasn't realized when I give home his food, like he will be in the doorway, I will reach over his head to put it in, and he will still be begging for food, so I usually have to reach in and shake the bowl and rustle the hay, then he will run to the food and eat.

How do I care for a blind piggie?
Also, he is like, almost 3...he's not like, really old or anything...

Remove hideys if hes blind, a vet should be able to confirm this. Blind animals much like deaf animals do very well.

Try not to move things too much in his cage. so he knows where the food bowl. bottle etc is.

thanks, ill try to see if i can get him to the vet,
he seems to like be able to see some things and not others....somehow...
like he knows where my hand with the food is if im giving him a treat etc. but i guess that might be from the smell...
i dont have anymore vets near where i live :/ the one i went to before closed down...:/ guess ive got a drive ahead of me. .... just have to get my parents to take me o.o

Try some people tests .... put the pig down with a few obsticles anx see if he avoids them etc.

Theres no reason he cant live a lkng happy life. You will just need to keep things in the same place in his cage.

He'll be okay, don't worry. He'll adjust to his surroundings so long as you don't move his bowls etc.

My boy Xander got one of his eyes removed three weeks ago, and while obviously it's not the same situation as your pig, he's doing really well at being blind on one side. I've noticed that I definitely need to talk to him to let him know I'm approaching from his blind side, though. Otherwise he gets a bit of a fright.

I used to have my pigs trained to know that when I tapped two bowls together that it meant they were getting fed, so maybe there's a noise you could make each time he gets his veggies or something and he'll eventually catch on what it means. If you make then noise and then maybe let him take a piece of veg from your hand that might work.

i wont be able to take him to the vet right now :/ (parent issues o.o )
im going to try the obstacle thing right now...of course, that depends on if he is ever so motivated to go threw/do what i set up *goes to get veggies (lol)*

so i just set up a quick obstacle course with things that were nearby (safe for the piggie of course!) set him on one side, went to the other side and then called him. i kept (gently, not like yelling) his name as he went threw. he kind of stopped every time he went threw 1 or 2 obstacles and seemed to like 'survey' the area..
o.o i cant really tell for sure if he is losing his sight, blind etc. i guess i will just use sound signals and not arrange his stuff (like you guys said for a blind piggie) ...

my sister has a deaf ferret so you can not use your voice with it if your pig can not see you will just have to use your voice more
