Hi i'm shelley and i'm new to keeping caviesi am married with 2 children beth who is 13 and little ian who is 9. We got piggys 2 from pets at home Geebear and Nigel but only having Nigel 1 week he pasted away so then we got Jevon after ringing pets at home we had him about 3 weeks I think it was he was sick the vet said something 2 do with his brain and pasted away so all we have left is GeeBear so were are looking for breeders so we can get some playmates for him (there's no way I want to go back to pets at home it's left al ofl us heart broken. anyway i'm glad I have join here and meeting u all because I would like some advise on what type of cavies there is and would be suitable for GeeBear thank you

Welcome to the forum, Shelly Wow, GeeBear is gorgeous! Really handsome! That's terrible about the pigs you got from P@H. How old is GeeBear? And I assume he's a boy? (Double check, just in case! Given your experience with P@H I wouldn't trust them 100% to have gotten the gender right). Any pig should be okay. A young boar will probably settle better with him, but it's all about personality. Some pigs get on like a house on fire and some just don't click. A good breeder or rescue will be able to tell you about the personality of their pigs and if things don't work out they should take the other pig back.

Where are you located? Could maybe give you the name of some rescues/breeders.
