chii has a bald patch on her front (between her head and front feet) about the size of a 5 pence piece. The vet is also stumped, he says its not mites, I dont think it is either. She isn't itchy. It doesn't look fungal either, its not red, hot to the touch, scaly or flaky, just looks like normal skin. There is no lump. I have some chlorhexidine from the vet to wash it with. any ideas?

I edited your post, I hope you don't mind. The forum doesn't like when you put an image inside a link (which is the default way that photobucket gives you your links). So when you copy and paste from photo bucket, it looks like [ url=picture.jpg] [ img ]picture.jpg[ /img] [/ url] (without all the spaces). The only part you want is the [ img ] picture.jpg [ /img ] part.
You can change photobucket to make them only give you the part you need by going to User Settings (top right under your user name), then clicking the Album tab at the top, and then unchecking the box beside Link Back Option: link back to albums, and then pressing save.
I'm not too sure what's up with her bald patch. Does she live with another pig that might have pulled her hair out?

no that's great thanks! I am not good with technology haha!
as for chii, she does live with another pig, but I don't think she could have pulled the fur out, because its a very neat little patch. I think it might have got a little tiny bit bigger today, but I can't be sure if it just looks bigger after washing it.
I suppose on the plus side she seems to be absolutely fine in all other ways, running around, greedy as ever, drinking, pooping, thieving veg from her sister! haha -.-
I am taking her back to the vets on Wednesday if it hasn't cleared up. I don't think the vet I saw yesterday was very good but I am back to my usual vet next time. You don't think its anything to panic about then?

No, I wouldn't panic at all.
Has she gotten a fright lately? I know one of my pigs was an awful shedder when she got scared. She would lose big patches of fur completely spontaneously but they always grew back fine.

Whats the hair like around it? If you pull lightly does it come out? It wont harm to treat for fungal, mites and lice to rule them out.
It looks healthy enough to be honest. I wouldnt worry too much and i wouldnt personally go back to the vets just yet (waste of money)
Keep an eye on it, treat for the above and see how it goes.
Has she any other patches on her body?

I had never thought of the fright thing, but no I don't think so, its pretty quiet round here. The fur isn't coming out round the edges, but she might be shedding ever so slightly more than normal, but its barely noticeable. I have some cream from gorgeous guineas that I am using which cleared up a fungal infection on my other pig ages ago, but it doesn't seem to be having any effect yet. I am out of ivec, so I may as well get it from the vets as planned. It looks quite red and sore now but she still doesn't seem to mind me touching it much, still eating, drinking, etc etc. No more patches whatsoever, and no patches on her sister at all. She still doesn't seem to be at all itchy. O.o its a mystery

It sounds like reoccuring fungal if im honest, prime place for it is the face and leg area usually.
I would treat as if its fungal and see how it goes.

well it got worse and now its getting better again O.o so hopefully it will go away on its own, so weird. My vet has ruled out mites but she also doesn't think its fungal. So bizarre
