I couple years ago I bought a female long haired Guinea Pig named Susanna! She was a sweet little thing But she died a couple years after I got her Anyway I needed a better setup and I was been really busy so I didn't replace her, but now I am not quite so busy and I got a better setup and I think I am ready to get another guinea pig! Finally after 3 years!

I not really sure, but I will defiantly get a short haired Guinea Pig! Having a long haired one for my first time was crazy.

Hi, I'm a born again Piggy Mum, only got my boys just two weeks ago I opted for short haired and also for older piggies which had been handled, Stan is a year old and Ollie six months, and I love them both to bits already ;D As they have already been handled, I haven't had the initial taming etc todo, which I have found better for me, as the little ones are quite skittish to start with !

Welcome to the forum.
It's great that you're thinking of getting a guinea pig again. I know what you mean about long-haired pigs. They need a lot of care compared to short-haired ones.

I had two piggies when I was younger, they actually lived 6 and 7 years-I was very lucky!! I was toying with getting another one for awhile when my mom surprised me by bringing home my new little piggie, Reese. I have only had her about 2 weeks and she already has my whole heart and play time is part of my daily routine. I LOVE having a piggie around, so fun and loving!!! You should definitely get another one:-)

Hiya and welcome!
I myself have 10 long haired piggies and yes they are definitely time consuming but somehow I find the time and wouldn't change it for anything. I think it is great that you are considering getting another guinea pig and the best thing is to get a breed that you really enjoy.
Keep us updated on the process!
