I've looked through several posts in here that range around the questions I have about Martini but I still feel the need to share my concern & see what response I can grab. I noticed a few days ago that one side (her left side to be exact) of her mouth has a small wet spot. It's not on her chin, just down the side of her mouth. At first I thought it was a sore or blood but it's not, just water. I've also realized that she's been drinking a lot of water lately but I've had a struggle with bottles so it's been a bit of a battle. She cocks her head a little to the side but that's not something abnormal and even though I got a new bottle, it's the same one she had before for a long time.
She appears to have a good appetite still, hay lettuce & dry food are being eaten. Her activity level's the same, I dont see any blood. I can't really check her teeth by myself so I guess I will attempt to go to the vet with her sometime in the next week but any advice?

I just got my guinea pigs a few months ago so I'm no expert but I did a little search and everything seems to point to problems with their teeth. But since she still is eating well I don't know. So, maybe the vet can shed some light on what is going on.

Drool would normally point to a problem with teeth alright, but that's also usually accompanied by a decrease in appetite.
How are her poops? Is she pooping as much? Are they normally sized?
What sort of problems have you had with water bottles?

My Chii started doing that for a few weeks, scared the life out of me, she was constantly wet on her right side of her mouth. She has also always been a sideways drinker. It was just water not discoloured. I took her to the vets twice.. cleaned the bottle, checked her food, poops etc, got really worried about her teeth. Vet hadn't got a clue, checked her mouth a bit and said as far as he could tell her teeth were fine but I was concerned they hadn't been checked as he just used a small torch magnifying thing... (sort of like what they use for ears at the doctors)..... Finally I was overcome with anxiety and I sat by the cage and watched her for an hour or two non stop... and I saw the sneeky little ninja pig going up to the bottle and pushing the ball in with her cheek and letting it run down the side of her face O.o ... she was giving herself a shower O.O lol!!! So mebbe watch her and see if she is like mine ? Just a bit bizzare? haha. She has stopped doing that now so she is fine, I hope yours is too xx

Thanks so much for your responses! She seems to be pooing just as much as normal, she's definitely a hog on the lettuce & tomatos, she's still eating hay & seems to be picking at the hard food. I can't tell though if she's just kicking that around or actually eating it. She's been acting more vocal lately too, but part of me wonders if that's just because I've been busier lately & she just wants my attention. The thing about the water bottle is that it's the same one I had before & she never had that problem, so that's why I'm confused. It's this one, only I got mine from the store obviously! compare.ebay.com/like/321110150261?var=lv<yp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar. I'm breaking down tomorrow & just taking her to the vet, I don't want to risk it. She'll hate me all day tomorrow but in the long run I think it's worth it.
