Hello! I'm Dianna and I'm fairly new at guinea pig ownership... we got our piggies about a month ago (from a pet store) and found out pretty quickly that what we thought were two females were in fact one of each gender. Ick. I was under the impression (from bad websites I'd researched) that they were too young to reproduce... but with the advice from some folks in another forum found out otherwise, I separated them immediately but there's still a chance that my female could be expecting. (oh, I sincerely hope she isn't!) I have no idea what types of piggies they are, but maybe with some help from the forum I could find out? Acorn (our male) will be easy... but Hazel (our girlie girl) is the oddball... she's so fluffy! Here's Hazel shortly after we got her... she's even fluffier now! and here Acorn (again, shortly after we got them)

Welcome to the forum! Sucks that that pet stores do that! I know that Acorn is an American because I have two American girls. Hazel I'm not sure about but I know someone here will know.
