Hiya Hollypop! Nice to have yet another Guinea lover join us! You're going to love the forum there is so much information here already and it increases everyday on top of that you have great support from fellow Guinea lovers that are always on hand to help; of course you will make friends as you start more topics and comment on others. When you have time I would love to see pictures of your little Bramble I bet he/she is beautiful I love harlequins but have never got round to keeping them, I specialise in keeping the longhaired variety of Guineas and at the moment currently have 10 Guineas (Coronets, peruvian, shelties, marinos.) I hope you end up enjoying this forum as much as we all do and let me tell you it gets rather addicting very fast!

Wow! Ten guinea pigs! Full happy house then! I shall post photos of bramble as soon as I figure out how and go on the laptop (currently on the iPhone). I love the long haired variety but have never had them previously and didn't want to take one on when I didn't know about grooming care. They sure do look pretty though.

They are great to have around but do take a lot of work when you have so many and you want to keep their coats in good condition; but if you are only planning on 1-2 they are great to have And only require 1 brush a day if they are kept very short but of course more care if kept longer. i can't wait to see pics!

Aww she is pretty! Love how prominent her colour show! Do you plan on getting her a friend in the future or are you happy with the two of you at the moment?

Welcome to the forum
Bramble is lovely, she looks like a tri coloured pig not a harlequin.
I hope you find ths forum helpful.

We seem happy with the two of us for the moment, I am with her the majority of the day and when I am not my other half is, she is a very spoilt and happy piggy at the mo, however if she should show signs of lonelyness or unhappiness I would certainly provide her with a furry companion
