I've been trying out different guinea forums lately with almost no luck. The last site I was on was not a fun experience. I posted a photo of my first cage for my pigs and I was attacked and had all on my posts and threads removed because the cage was small which I was aware of but I've upgraded since. All in all a terrible experience. Buttt anyway, my name is Jozette and I currently have 7 guinea pigs.

This is Milly Milo's favorite lady, I'm rather fond of her myself. I only say it like that because we didnt start out relationship off well. But now shes quite cuddly and I'm happy to oblige.
Attachment DeletedThese are their kids. From the left: 3, Houdini, Mocha, Mason, Myers. Mocha and Mason are permanent additions to the family. Houdini and 3 are already homed as well. Just to put it out there we did breed them on purpose, they didnt do well apart so we decided that we would breed them once and keep a boy and girl. We are finding responsible and forever homes for them.

Hiya and Welcome! Well one thing I can say is it is their loss because now we have you! To be honest forums like that will go nowhere fast if they are going to "attack" rather than just give advice to people. Also I have found there is a lot of forums out there that are very one sided should we say where they only allow people to join who are to some degree "anti breeder" which is sad because I know a lot of breeders who would do anything for their animals and feel the same way about people buying from rescues but still they do not want to hear about breeders. I was on a forum for awhile until it got mentioned that I used to breed and then they kicked me off pfft! Hey-ho they are just missing out on the greatness of having many people from different backgrounds sharing their knowledge with each other. The one things that does make me sad is that we are all here for the same reason "Guinea Pigs" so no matter if we breed/show/rescue really we all have the same passion but for some reason some people cannot see that...All you can do is hope that one day them 3 different qualities will come together and realise we all need each other to learn from. Your guineas are fab and I look forward to seeing your input on different topics as the forum progresses!  |

and actually breeding is why I got attacked the first time then because of the cage.
this liter was on purpose to a degree, we were only really hoping for two or three but she gave us 5.
it irritating that they felt the needed to tell me how disgusting it is and wrong.
I almost cried because I felt like a bad person.

Everyones welcome, breeders, pet owners, rescues or newbie wannabe owners. We dont mind either way.
We arent an anti breeding forum, breeding is one of the most natural things for any living being to do.
Your piggies look wonderful.
Iv been on a few forums and have been removed from others as im a known breeder/exhibitor! But my pigs are well loved, cared for and probabaly in far better condition than many pet owners!!
