Hello, I am relatively new to Piggies.
I was active on another board but I didn't like the atmosphere.
So here is my story. I was woken up at 3:00 in the morning by mum. I came out into the kitchen and I saw on the floor a little guinea pig. So my dad found her wandering around a parking lot malnourished,dehydrated, and a infected wound on her neck. My mother was able to get so water into her with a syringe (without the needle). She was in shock Gripping the floor with her nails. Anyway gave her some dandelions put her in a cat crate. She started purring at us in the morning and we took her to an experienced Cavy vet.
He put 2 staples in her ear and it has since healed up very nicely. Hair is growing back too!
It was really bad I won't show you pictures. Gaping wound with muscle cut and exposed.
So go to get the staples taken out and ask vet if she's pregnant. She ends up having a little boy.
