Hello, I am relatively new to Piggies. I was active on another board but I didn't like the atmosphere. So here is my story. I was woken up at 3:00 in the morning by mum. I came out into the kitchen and I saw on the floor a little guinea pig. So my dad found her wandering around a parking lot malnourished, dehydrated, and a infected wound on her neck. My mother was able to get so water into her with a syringe (without the needle). She was in shock Gripping the floor with her nails. Anyway gave her some dandelions put her in a cat crate. She started purring at us in the morning and we took her to an experienced Cavy vet. He put 2 staples in her ear and it has since healed up very nicely. Hair is growing back too! It was really bad I won't show you pictures. Gaping wound with muscle cut and exposed. So go to get the staples taken out and ask vet if she's pregnant. She ends up having a little boy. Debbie is my avatar and this is lil Harrison

Hiya and Welcome! That is an amazing story and it was amazing for you to give her a second chance as well as her son.
Unfortunately more forums are heading in a stuffy way because of the only allowed to talk about certain subjects or if it doesn't fit into one persons liking then it cannot be talked about. Here we consist of pet owners/ breeders/ rescues/ exhibitors you name it we probably have it, and the environment since I have been here has been only good; with having this much of a variety you get some really great advice and opinions from all different backgrounds.
I look forward to seeing your future posts!

Hello and welcome.
Well done for saving the piggies life.
Quick note once her baby boy is 3/4 weeks old he needs to be seperated from his mum to stop breeding.
Welcome again
