Hello. I've just joined the site and would like to introduce myself and my piggies. I'm new to owning guinea pigs. I got Ziggles and Punk a couple of months ago. They got along really well and took to me really quickly too. Unfortunately Ziggles passed away yesterday. It was sudden (he choked on hay that we could not remove from his throat despite our best attempts. It all happened in less than 5 minutes and I am devastated. Ziggles was a lovely, friendly pig. He loved to sit on my shoulder whilst I watched TV and sniff and lick my neck. I miss him already. Punk is also awesome. He's more timid than Ziggles was but once he's on my lap/chest he completely relaxes and he loves having his chin stroked.
Today I adopted 2 piggies that were in need of a home, Burt and Horris. It's already clear that Horris is the one in charge. I hope to gradually introduce them to Punk and hope that they can all get along as well as Punk and Ziggles did. I don't want Punk miss his friend as much as I will.
