Hi there I'm new to this site. I have two guinea pigs. They are brothers and they live together in a big cage in our house. They are three years old. Sadly the one is unwell. Teeth probs. I shall look round forum for info Prob is as well he seems to have become dependant on us feeding him c care and does not attempt to try to eat fresh or guerty Any views

Whats wrong with his teeth? Have they been vet checked?

thanks Kayleigh, i have replied to your question on previous thread. we have been feeding him porridge which he loves. it is such a great feeling to not feed him with syringe for a change... he eats the porridge from a little plate. how much can he eat...? and the baby food, which can you recommend..? how long do these things (eating more solid foods) take to correct..?

Hiya
I would keep replenishing the porridge throughout the day, offer the oats dry too to try to get him eating. It wont do any harm. As for baby foods, cow and gate do a oaty muesli and red fruit compote these are the two main ones i feed when needed. Pigs go nuts for them.
The main thing is to keep the pig eating. Soft food is better than no food. Although he needs to eat hay/readi grass to grind his teeth.

Welcome to the forum.
You can also try grating veg for your pig. That might help him eat it as it'll be nice and thin and not too sore on his teeth.
