I have two adult male guinea pigs who are both having the same problem. They are cage mates so I guess it makes sense. They have some dandruff. I havent seen it untill I brushed them today. Then I read up. They do not have symptoms of mites... There is no excessive scratching or clumps of hair falling out. And the dandruff seems to be evenly spread and not just in clumps. It does seem to be mostly on their rumps but that may just be because I brush it all down there when I comb through their fur. They both have thick course hair with no bald spots. I live in Colorado so it's really dry here, this is the first winter I've had the pigs for, i got them last spring. Aaaanyways, i'm pretty sure there's nothing wrong, but I would love some reassurance:)

Treat with ivermectin to be safe. some pigs are naturally flaky, could be how they are.
i wouldnt worry.

On the top or bottom of his foot?
What type of bedding are you using? Some types of wood chips and leave pigs with dry skin.
