Last night when I was cleaning my girls out I noticed poppett hadn't eaten her dinner, that's very unlike her so I caught her for a check over and the poor thing had a big seed pod or something stuck on her lower teeth, it was hollow so she must have bitten into it and not been able to get it off. The thing is I don't know how long it was stuck there for, she her dinner the night before but as far as I could tell she didn't eat/drink anything yesterday. I got the thing off no problem, gave her fresh veggies/hay/water and she tucked in with gusto so no apparent mouth soreness. Today she seems fine, active, vocal, eating, drinking and pooping as normal so I'm hopeful there's no harm done but I'm worried coz I've read that their digestive system can shut down quickly with no food and it's not always immediately obvious if there's an issue. Does anyone know how soon you can tell if there's a problem or is it that as she's eating and pooping she'll prob be ok? Thanks!

The fact that she is eating is good, usually 24/48 hours is when things start to slow down.
These things happen qnd you caught it :-)

Thanks guys, she's still doing fine so it looks like I caught it before any harm was done thankfully, she had me worried for a while there though!
