im just wondering about the breed of my piggy. female is smooth hair and the boar is smooth to but he as the skinny pig gene as hes dad was skinny and mom smooth hair. my question is could they produce skinny pig or not. :)thanks.

Unless your sow is a gene-carrier as well, you won't get any skinny pups breeding them together. Breeding a regular coat to a gene carrier will give you 50% regular pups, 50% gene carriers. The skinny gene is recessive, so you have to breed either 2 gene carriers together, or a gene carrier to a skinny to get skinny pups.
I don't know from experience, but from what I've read, breeding skinnies is tricky and you have to have a really good starting pair to keep the line healthy.
My suggestion, if you are considering breeding at all, is to do as much research as possible before you even think about pairing a sow with a boar.
