Boo-boo has a small white spot on the colored part of one his eyes. It's on the edge of the colored part, so it looks like it's connected to the rest of the white part of the eye. They had a check-up about a month ago, and she didn't say anything about it, but I think it would be easy to miss. Should I ignore it or have it looked at?

He might have gotten a small poke with a strand of hay. It happens and isn't much to worry about as it will normally heal by itself without any issues. Have you noticed his eye streaming or looking red or anything?
Otherwise, it could be a tiny cataract, but that's unusual in a young piggy and that would normally look a bit more blue/grey and "in" the eye, if you know what I mean.
Keep an eye on it and check it every day to make sure it doesn't worsen, but so long as Boo-boo isn't in distress I wouldn't take him back to the vet.

I asked my dog's vet, when I took her in and he said I should take him in. My exotic vet called back, and she said it didn't sound urgent, but we made an appointment for Tuesday. I've seen if for about a week. I don't know if it was there the whole time (and my vet didn't see it), or if it's new. The spot is definitely white. It's interesting that you mention the red thing. I don't know if this is what you mean by red (the normally white spot or colored spot is red), but the colored part of his eye (that has the spot) looks red/pink when light hits it, like albino eyes. The other one doesn't seem to do that. I think I may be crazy though, and seeing what I see because I'm a hypochondriac.

My vet guessed that he got a small injury there and that's how it healed. But we are treating it, just in case there's an infection. If it improves, we continue treatment. If not, it's an old injury.

Sorry to be annoying, but the vet said she would hope that she would have seen it if it were there the whole time... I don't entirely know how to take that... does that mean he got the injury with me and it healed already? I never noticed any injured pig behavior...

I've had a few pigs with eye-poke injuries and to be honest it doesn't seem to have ever bothered them all that much. They might have a little wet patch under their eye but it hasn't ever put them off their food or anything. So I don't think there's anything behaviourally that you would pick up on.
As for not seeing the actual white spot, the eye goes white after the injury, not right away, so initially it would have been as good as invisible, unless you happened to catch it in the right light. Then you come out one morning and there's this white sheen over the eye that seems to have come out of nowhere. That's especially true if it was only a tiny injury.
Piggy eyes are remarkably resilient and Boo-boo should be fine. One of my girls got a really bad scratch across her cornea once which looked really nasty and it healed up no problem at all.

Okay. Thanks. I'm starting to think I shouldn't have taken him in. I wasn't going to, but my dog's vet said it could be an ulcer (based on my description). I got an ointment to put on his eye. Boo-Boo was warming up to me very quickly, which helped Yogi warm up to me. Now, he's running again, when I pick him up. And he seems more scared when I come in the room or when I hand feed them veggies. He hasn't regressed to the point where I'm really worried, but I don't want to have to redo all my socialization with him. Yogi seems unaffected. He still comes up to me when I put my hand in the cage, but hates being picked up.
She said to wait a week and see if it improves, but I think I'm going to call her in a few days and ask if I can stop. I don't want him to be more afraid of me than he is now, and I want to get back to teaching him that he wants me to take him out.

She called back today and said I could stop, because there was no difference in the eye.

Not as fast as he did the first time. He still shivers when I take him out of the cage. I take Yogi out, too. And after a while, Boo-Boo will move around and sniff, but it takes longer than I'd like. And when he's in the the cage, he runs at the sight of me a lot. If I get face level with the cage, he will eventually come and sniff me and give me a kiss. He sniffs my finger through the cage bars sometimes, too. I feel bad, because he seems more nervous than when I started interacting with him. When I took those pictures of him, the day or two days after I adopted them, he came up to my phone and sniffed it. I guess my only choice is to keep trying and hope it will improve. It is improving, but much slower than last time.

He will get better. Try bribing him with treats and hopefully he'll get over his little huff.
