I have taken in a possibly pregnant sow and could use some advice on what to do to help mom prepare for the babies. What foods are most important for her to have and what kind of "nest" and bedding should I provide?

Just provide a healthy diet (a variety of fresh veg, a good guinea pig nugget and make sure quality hay and clean water are available 24/7) and a safe environment and she'll do the rest. She doesn't need a nest, she'll make herself comfortable.

If she is pregnant, make space for up to 6 babies, who will grow into big, hungry guinea pigs really fast. While the sow is pregnant, give her plenty of calcium C also. When the pups are born, it is best to be present because once the first pup is born, the mother will only focus on the first born while the other babies might be suffocating in their sacs. Look for signs of blood poisoning. Some signs are having contractions while lying on their sides, or not eating. Check the weight of the sow regularly. That is a lot of advice for you, and I hope this helps!
