Hi everyone! We brought our sweet Belle home about 2 weeks ago and I just upgraded her cage as the one I bought at the store was way too small. I think she needs a friend so that is next on the list for her. Belle is just now starting to get used to her new surroundings and loves her veggies.

We decided to get Belle after we piggy sat for a friend of mine, so we have a little experience with them. I want to add a friend for her but don't want my cage to be too small for it. She just went into an 8 Sq ft cage today, should I wait until I can get a bigger one?  |

It's a little on the small side but she should be fine with a friend in there. Just be sure to clean the cage thoroughly and to follow the guidelines on introducing pigs on neutral territory. And most importantly of all, make sure you have two pigs of the same sex!

I spot clean the cage daily so cleaning wont be a problem, so far I have cleaned the cage every 4 days, but that was before I got the larger one. I am looking to adopt either a neutered male or adult female since mine is so young.
