Hi everyone. I need some light on my situation. I absolutely heartbroken. One of our Guineas passed away a few days ago at only 7 months old. She was a little girl. When we first got her we got a phone call from the petshop who where holding her until we could get her saying she's very cold and lethargic so we should go down and see our little girl for the first and last time. But while I where holding her in the blankie to try and keep her comfortable in her last moments she started moving and squeaking and she started drinking and eating. When we decided she was okay we took her home to reunite her with her sister (they where from the same litter but we decided to get Haleo because she was the runt and nobody wanted her) anyway from the months leading up to her death we found out that she was different from her sister, but who isn't? But Kenzi her sister put weight on and while Haleo did she wasn't thriving like her sister. But we thought that was because she was smaller. The day before her death she was the cheeky girl as she always was but she always looked so sad. Anyway she was drinking, eating, playing with her sister etc but the next morning I went to check on them both I noticed our Haleo had passed away where not sure when but she wasn't curled up and her eyes where open. Where heart broken and scared for Kenzi but Kenzi was on her own the first 2 months prior to getting Haleo. Kenzi seems fine she's eating, drinking, being cheeky and a diva she's having treats, veg and fruit like normal she doesn't like being picked up which is normal of her but she likes it when she's on our laps she's hiding more but I think that's because when we got Haleo we stopped holding her as much.
What I want to know is 1. Will Kenzi be ok without her sister and we cannot afford to get another. 2. Why did our Haleo pass away.
