Hi, people call me Millie and I'm pretty excited to be on a forum!
I have 3 sows - Ginger, Snowbelle and Snowflake. They're around 5 (Ginger the oldest by about 6 months). Ginger is a ginger and white american (i think) guinea pig and the other two are twins. Snowbelle and Snowflake (sometimes we refer to them as 'snowy twins') are white crested piggies.
They live indoors with fleece/similar for their bedding.
Snowbelle is the shyest, who doesn't like being petted inside the cage. She knows when food is available though - and she often is the loudest, wheeking to alert everybody when food has arrived! She loves to ask for an extra snack or two and you sometimes struggle to hesitate with her eager enthusiasm! Because she is quite timid, she is often really speedy and is the first to run away into a hidey. Still, she is a fabulous pig.
Snowflake is probably the most confident of the 3, as she doesn't mind being petted and tends to approach me often when I am spot cleaning their cage. She tries to stick her mouth through the bars but of course she never succeeds! She is the most nosy and curious - always trying to investigate when I have them out of their
enclosure and often succeeding to escape when she has the chance! (Not when she is in her cage, but when they are out while I am cleaning the cage).
Ginger is also tame, but on the shy side. She likes being petted and is really enthusiastic at eating - however at the moment we are dealing with some medical issues with her which is heart-breaking. She likes to go in their hideys but she is quite active too, walking around in their cage, looking for the food bowl. She is a really brave guinea pig for the things she has gone through and we are planning to get medical assistance very soon.
So, those are my 3 guinea pigs! I love them so very much, and they are very special indeed. My sisters used to all 'own' a guinea pig, but I basically care for all of their needs and my sisters don't interact with them a lot so they're basically mine now !
