Over a year expect to shell out on average £400 - £450 in the first year or even more.
Cage £60 - £80 on average for a good size with plenty of room. Accessories e.g. water bottle, food bowls, hidey, pigloo, cuddle cup, litter tray, toys etc. £30 - £40 Bedding, Litter and Hay £120 - £150 Dry food £30 - £50 Fresh Veggies/fruit £100 - £150
Then there may be vet bills to find on top of that, so take this into account before you go out and purchase you new pig'.
On average Guinea Pigs live from 5 to 8 years so they could cost you close to £4,000 during their life time with you.

Thats really good thank you Dawn, now whats the cost for 7 piggies LOL. I am really thinking of getting all 3 of the sows! so that would put my piggie count up to 7 LOL Hehe that's great, but having 7 doesn't really mean seven times the cost does it For my 10 piggies: I buy a sack of pellets every month which works out at around £13 a time that's about £150 over the year. Then about £6 per week on veggies that's about £300 a year. Hay I buy 4 small bags £1 each from Morrison which lasts the week thats £200 per year. A bale of readigrass £8.80p lasts me ages. About £80 a year. Then I have vetbed so no bedding costs after the initial outlay of around £100 in total. C&C cages already built at a cost of around £120. Lino to put under vetbed cost £2 for the first bit then the rest was given free as it was roll ends Other bits like cuddle cups and things I haven't counted because I don't have a clue what I have spent on them but it is a small fortune. Grand total without extras approx... £800 per year. That's only twice the cost of having 2 not bad hey? You save by getting sacks and bales where as you wouldn't normally get these if you only have 2 piggies so you would pay more in the long run.

Too be honest the only extra expense will be the odd extra bit of veg and pellets and hay! where do you get your readigrass?
