If you Guinea Pig shows any of these symptoms please don't delay get them to the vet asap. Guinea Pigs don't tend to show symptoms until they're VERY ill and you are risking their lives if you don't act quickly.
Symptoms: URI - Noise when breathing - Crust on eyes and/or nose - Lethargy - Fluffed up coat - Anorexia/lack of appetite - Nose bleed Enteritis - Lethargy - Dehydration - Symptoms of being in shock - Foul smelling green diarrhea - Anorexia

This just echos what Dawn has already said:
Because of the weather the humidity is up and down, the damp and moist air is proving to be an ideal breeding ground for any lurking nasties. It is important that you try to familiarise yourself with symptoms of respiratory problems. Allergies are also on the increase right now, due to pollen rising, spores etc. Also be aware that as last year's hay comes to the end of season, before new cutting, you are likely to see maybe more dust (which includes spores), and a general poor quality hay. You can recognise any allergies by clear discharge from nose, sneezing, and you may observe constant paw wiping on nose, Benadryl allergy expectorant can be used here at dose of 0.2 mls 2 x day, plus Vicks on nose.
So make sure you have Vicks, Sudafed Exporant, and be ready to get pig seen by professional if pig is lethargic, fluffed up, anorexic, crusting of eyes and nose, and any respiratory noises, anything out of the ordinary.
Notice:
The owner of this information has asked me to make reference to where this came from so thanks to Karen from Kazzy’s Cavies for allowing us to use it.
