Cocoa peed on the floor last night and it was white, should I be worried or is this normal?

Feel it when it's dry. If it feels smooth then it's just excess calcium, but if it's gritty it could be bladder sludge.

Bladder sludge is when excess calcium starts to build up. It occurs if there is too much calcium in the diet, so if it does start to feel girtty then you need to really cut down on high-calcium foods, like spinach, carrots* and parsley.
* Switch to one baby carrot per day - there is a nutritional difference between regular and baby carrots.

I've recently changed to the grass and hay diet (or am trying my best!). One of mine had a bladder stone removed at great expense and obviously great pain for him. My vet advised putting him on grass and hay with veggies only as a treat, but now I've decided it'll be best if they all go on it. The money I save on veggies is spent on the wonderful hays that you can buy from Oxbow. As well as this they get oodles of meadow hay daily, i've also changed to Cavy Cuisine because it has the correct Ca to Ph ratio. As a change I give them bran and oats. They also have Readigrass. If it is sludge Dawn and you hear squealing when peeing take him to have an x-ray done.
