Just had a thought about Cystitis in my pigs,it could have been the bedding that I was using (Dengie Medibed),as not being absorbent the pigs were constantly lying in wet, even though I did clean them, and sows having a short ureter, they were more prone to the infection, now I'm on Megazorb it will be interesting to see if I get any more pigs that get Cystitis.

Also cavies who are lazy and lie all day in the same spot. Mostly my females over the age of 1½ have that tendancy. So a change of bedding often and changing place on the things in the cage (houses and so forth). To keep em dryer and get them to change spots.

This might be a bit premature but since I've been on Megazorb no pig has had cystitis, and I was always getting at leat one with the problem,I'm sure it was because of the straw not being absorbent.
