I know it's only a matter of time before she leaves us now but I am trying to make her as confortable as I can while she is here. I take her back to the vets tonight so I am going to suggest maybe they put her on a drip but I am not sure that will work either as she is so ill now but I have to try everything I can even if it doesn't work. She isn't eating at all and when I syringe her food she just holds it in her mouth, she is listless and her eyes are dull.  come on Roxy I am praying for a miracle, please pull through I love you so much Dawn |

She just hasn't got anything left I don't think Niki I am sat here at the computer just looking at her and she is just lying there limp and half on her side I can't stop crying. I don't want to lose her but I am at a loss as to what else to do I have tried everything. Oh why do things like this keep happening to me and my piggies? I try to care for them in the best way.... Well she did go yesterday and they gave her an injection to last until tonight. I hope she suprises me too and pulls through but I very much doubt it she is so weak Dawn |

If she decides she has to leave, she will go KNOWING how much she was loved & wanted. I don't have a "magic" answer, i only wish i did & to sit & watch someone we love suffer is heartbreaking. I second what Niki and Karen and Josie have said!! Dawn there is no possible way that you can make Roxy's life better! You gave her the ut-most love that a human being can give and more. I'm still praying for Roxy and having the piggies send good health vibes.

Oh Dawn....I've been out all day, so only saw the updates now....I just don't know what to say that could help...You know how much we've all been praying....Saying goodbye is ALWAYS so hard....The ONLY consolation, if Roxy doesnt make it, is that its my firm belief, that our animal friends wait joyously in heaven, for us to meet them again over there in time...I REALLY believe that !!
Dawn...I've only known you for a short while here on the forum, but I want you to know, that its very obvious, to anyone who comes on here, that you adore all your pets, and they feel your love and care ! Your forum has opened up a special hobby for me, and is helping me so much in my personal life ! Thanks everyone, I am really touched.
We have not long been back home from the vets with Roxy. They said she had a build up of food in her mouth and they couldn't understand why she wasn't chewing and swallowing.
They couldn't do much there so I had to go to the Ashton office to have fluid injected under her skin as she was very dehydrated. They also gave her two injections on an anti-inflammatory and one to try and stimulate her gut to function so she might get an appetite back.
They are going to see her again tomorrow night to see how she is and if she needs it give her more fluid.
I really, really hope she will turn around and pull through, come on Roxy I am doing all I can.

How is she today Dawn? You're doing everything you can possibly do to help her pull through, and if she doesn't make it at least you know you did all you could. Don't blame yourself, I've seen on the rabbit forums that the more furries you have the greater chance there is of one of them getting poorly purely cos there are more of them so you see it more frequently. Nothing do to with your care, anyone can see how much you love them and give them 100% of everything a piggy could wish for. I hope she starts eating again and the vet can help her to recover, best wishes, Kathryn x

I hope Roxy is still holding in there for you. The vets wouldn't be doing all they can if they didn't think was a chance. SO hopefully this is positive news.

Hi everyone thanks so much for all your support at thie difficult and upsetting time. It is bad news I am afraid Roxy died this morning For some reason I got up very early 5.20pm in fact and she was still alive but as I opened her cage and stroked her she gave one last gasp and died I must have sensed it or something because normally I would never be up at that time. My hubby burried her under our greengage tree. R.I.P. little Roxy we all miss you so much |

Oh Dawn...I also sensed that Roxy had gone, cos its not like you not to be on the forum all day...But as the others have said, she must have loved you, as much as you loved her...And yes, I believe you were meant to be there with her in her last moments on earth....You know what, Dawn....She will be waiting for you one day...With a new, fat, furry, little body...Over on the other side of the rainbow....She's happy and healthy again.....RIP special Roxy....Xxx
