Today I went to Hyde & Glossop Show and as it's around the corner and I was helping put the pens down and clear up I let Paul (hubby) and Aimee bring the piggies home early once judging was finished so that they didn't have to stay in the carriers. Anyway when I got home 3 hours later. I went to the shed and straight away knew there was something wrong. Aimee by accident had put my two PEW Sows away in the wrong sow pens. Well this was a totally disaster. Faith-Marie was ok in the big sow pen so I scooped her out to replace her where she should be to find that Fleur who had been put in the other pen had a huge gash in her lip that was huge. I am totally mortified. I don't blame Aimee it isn't her fault she was just trying to help but I can't help but be very upset about this. I could believe this of boars together but I am very suprised at my sows being so vicious Here is a pic of my poor little girl I feel so sorry for her. I just kept hugging her and saying sorry to her. Ii is all my fault Dawn

Oh Dawn.... I'm so sorry to read about this !!! Please don't feel so bad and blame yourself ! These things can happen so easily... I do hope Fleur will soon be ok, and I'm sure with all your love and attention she will be.... Thinking of you, and sending hugs.... Irene. xx

I know you feel awful Dawn, but it really isn't anybody's fault. It's one of those horrible things that happens sometimes. Your Aimee must be feeling sad as well right now. Poor wee thing - she does look very sore, but I know she's a healthy little girl and she'll soon be on the mend with the sort of care she'll get. Sows can be more vicious than boars I've found and some of mine have to live in hutches with wire dividers to keep them away from each other or there'd be murder commited - literally. Faith must have wondered what the devil was going on mustn't she?

Aw Dawn, I'm sorry to read this, poor you and poor Aimee, but you both feel really bad. Hope poor Fleur heals up quickly bless her.
If its any consolation to Aimee, I nearly did the same in the summer, I was putting the piggies away, and went to put Queenie in with Squirell. My Amy shouted at me just in time luckily, but these things do happen.

Thanks Ange,
It is easy to do I know so I don't really blame Aimee. It was all such a rush and it was just an accident and we will all be more careful in the future.
