Hi Everyone, could anyone please give me some advice on how to tell if a piggy is deaf?
I just want to make sure so that I can tell if any future pigs are deaf.

All I could really suggest is make a noise and see if your piggy makes the 'I don't like that noise sound'. I don't think deafness should be a problem for a guinea, we have one with only 1 eye and she is perfectly happy, she still pushes the other sows around #giggly#

With dogs, you have to make a noise behind their head. They must not be able to see you or feel that you are around. This works with dogs but will not work so easily with pigs.
The eye placement of piggies is ont he side of the head so they have a much wider area of vision - in front, to the side and a little behind. Therefore you should aim to make a noise around their rump area where they have a "blind spot" - they shouldn't be able to see you.

I think Daisy might be deaf, she doesn't wake up when I start to vacuum or move until I touch her. It doesn't bother her in any way she is still lively and alert and ready for food
