well barney went for a check up at the vets to make sure this nipping he has started doing is nothing wrong with his health, he is fine but the vet said he had huge testicles, which my husband thinks is hilarious, the vet said i should get him neutered which i wont be doing as she reckons it will stop his nipping but having read on here that it wont then i am not risking surgery, but there was a white discharge between barneys testicles, the vet said this was sperm where he is wanting to become sexually active, is this true?? and if so what do i do?  should i get him a girlfriend but then she may get pregnant and i dont have room for babies or do i leave him frustrated am i being cruel??? i really dont know what to do for the best.please please help me i just want my little guy to be happy oh yes and for the record the nipping is getting less now and he didnt do it at all yesterday so i think i am winning the dominance issue |

Well it's not a good idea to get him a girl as you will have to separate them after he has done the deed anyway so he will be even more frustrated then just being able to see her and smell her but not get to her. He will grow out of this stage he is a typical teenager. However if you do what to get him a friend I would suggest another boar. I have a little himi boar born not log ago who will be old enough to leave his mum in a week or so you could have when he is old enough. I know he will have the most excellent home with you  Dawn |

well, i spoke to dawn on the phone and next saturday i am going to pick up the himi boar, i am soooooooo excited another baby to add to my family. i cant have kids so my animals take pride of place in my house, i hope barney likes his new pal, cant wait wooohooooo

thanks guys, i dont know how i am going to survive a whole week waiting.my tummy keeps doing somersaults already.going to get a new cage today that nice and big and get the new boy some toys and sleepysacks so barney doesnt get territorial over his stuff we are buying all new stuff and putting both pigs in the new cage on saturday.my husband has set me a limit though on how much to spend coz i go crazy in the pet stores lol
