I would strongly advise going to a CCT first aid lecture to learn how to use these correctly. I also have Infacol and Kaolin in my first aid box (bloat) and (diarrhoea). Also Otodex ear drops, very effective for ear mites I have found, supplied by www.sphsupplies.co.ukGorgeous Guineas antiseptic cream for cuts etc. I can't remember the name of the 'stuff' I use for mouth sores (too many drinks?! oh its Christmas!) but not Genetian violet, something in a yellow packet from Superdrug! Cymex I think. I use Arnica for bruising in pre op piggies, would've thought it too slow acting for shock? But have never used it for that... Calgel in case of oral probs. Some form of probiotic in addition to Critical Care, for stomach upsets/use with antibiotics. I prefer to use the veterinary preparations as they restore more gut flora (source: CCT) Available from www.sphsupplies.co.uk RENNIE DEFLATINE: essential in my opinion for bloat, a life saver for our Emily. Also Buscopan for the same reason. Use Aspirin with caution and only in emergencies (source CCT). Whilst safe it is usually better to find an alternative. Gorgeous Guineas do a range of creams now that do not contain chemicals and work as well as other leading brands and don't contain as many chemicals. As well as daktarin oral gel I use the Athletes Foot gel (Daktarin) on some fungal Guins when the area needs drying. Before using any of the above a correct diagnosis is necessary.
