This forum is not a substitute for professional veterinary care.
We can offer our opinion on what may be wrong but If you think your pet is ill please book an appointment at a vet pronto their life may depend on it.
Guinea Pigs especially can go down hill very quickly and your speedy actions can be the difference between your beloved pets life and death (literally).
The following symptoms indicate a serious problem:
Not eating Crusty eyes or nose Wheezing or laboured breathing Sitting hunched in a corner Bleeding from any opening Blood in pee Squeeking while peeing Severe diarrhea Bloated Severe injury Head tilted while walking Drooling Weightloss Poisoning Delivery problems Hairloss

Good job on posting that Dawn. It's always important to add that.
Hopefully you'll have a qualified rodentologist on hand as a member soon... that's when my mum gets back in touch with the Rodentology woman and I know whether I'm on the move again or not!

Quailfied rodentologist or qualified vet, it's always impossible to offer a diagnosis over the internet. Animals need to be examined first hand to get a true indicator of what the problem maybe. Very good point to post though Dawn Nothing beats a good vet! I've been on the lookout for one as potential boyfriend material, but I've met a doctor instead! Oh well, such is life!
