I read somwhere that you should begin worming a guinea pig at some stage, even if they are well, is this true If not, what are the symptoms that show they need worming? If so, what should I use?

Some people worm their piggies every 6 months but I don't beleive in dosing them up if they don't need it.
I would only do it if it is needed and all the time I have been owning cavies I have only had to worm mine once & I used Panacur.

Sorry forgot to list symptoms They are: diarrhea, anemia, weight loss, worms or worm-like parasites in your guinea pig's feces. They are more common in Piggies that are kept outdoors

We don't worm ours either. We're all organic here, and I dont medicate any critter (or human) unless its needed.

We don't worm our pigs and have never had a problem. Some people use Panacur but I am not sure of the dosage as I have never used it on pigs, only on dogs and puppies.

Thanks for the advice.
I will probably avoid worming them unless they suffer any problems.
