I just want to advise everyone to take diarrhoea very seriously. I just lost my beloved Parsley because i stupidly accepted an afternoon appointment rather than insisting on an emergency one when i discovered him with diarrhoea on Tuesday morning. He went downhill very quickly and even though i'd given him diarolyte to replace lost fluids, he'd had injections from the vet and then i tried to get veg baby food syringe fed into him, he deteriorated rapidly. He was suffering terribly by the evening and at midnight we took him to the vets to be put to sleep. It was the most heart breaking, disturbing and agonising experience. I would have done anything to prevent him suffering like that but my own ignorance that it can kill in a matter of hours meant he did suffer. I have to live with that now. Please don't make the mistake i did, seek immediate attention for any guinea with running diarrhoea, a staring coat and who's looking throughly miserable sat in the corner. I don't want to frighten anyone as i know they can get mild cases like an upset tummy but if they have all 3 symptoms and the diarrhoea is not solid at all, act immediately. Best wishes to you and yours.

The best thing to do if you find a pig with Diarrhoea is get 0.6ml of kaolin in them and stop all wet food imediatly for a couple of days just leaving them with dry mix and hay or even just hay to nibble on , this is what i do and its always worked for me , when you re start with wet food just feed a bit of carrot for a few days and leave of any cabbage .
Sorry you lost your little man
