My piggy was chewing on my hair, so I went to pull it away from her and realized a chunk was missing. Is she going to be okay if she digested some. Also, I took a shower this morning so there might be some leftover residue from the conditioner, which usually leaves residue.

I wouldn't worry about it they eat each others hair too ! It wont do any harm i have a hair muncher here and she would have died long ago if it did them any harm lol

Thank you! I was worried! I've heard that if cats get string in their stomachs it's really bad, so I thought this was similar.

My Jack is always trying to eat my hair, I agree with celia. It hasn't seemed to have done Jack any harm.

Hilda eats my hair all the time and she's okay so I'm sure it's okay. I have big unruly hair so I don't mind being groomed

Thread/string is dangerous as it doesn't break and wraps around their intestines etc (re what you heard about cats/dogs) but hair wouldn't be the same as that. She'll be fine.
