archie has a pooy bum

hey there

my guinea archie has been poorly recently. he had a uri and then teeth problems bless him. anyway he is now occassionally gettin really soft poos that arent really formed and get stuck in his bum. right before this happened for the second time 2day he did lots of normal poos. im not sure whether it is anythin to be worried about. he seems quite happy in himself and was bein very cheeky tryin to get food from my plate as i had him sat on the sofa next to me. is there anythin i can do to help. could it be because of the different medicines that he has had. he has had a few. the thing is its not constant he has had normal poos this afternoon after i had to clean his bum out this mornin.

It could be his body adjusting to the different things he has been given, has he had any probiotics at all to restore his natural gut flora? It might help. i have just started givin him a little probioctic because of his a pooy bum. so i will see how he goes. if it continues, should i be worried?

Well if it continues I would get him seen just to be on the safe side.

Could be because of the upset but could also be impaction , this is very common in older boars but younger boars get it too . How old is Archie ?

archie is three next year so 2 and 3/4! his bum seems a lot better now. we are however having problems gettin him to put on weight. he was 720g at his lowest and we managed to get him to 800grams. but now he is around 750/760 grams. we are still syrine feedin him a little and makin sure that he is eatin fresh food and we occassionally seem him eatin his dried food. im not sure what to do. he is a skinny guinea at the moment.

hey guys

archie still isnt well. his bum is better. but he has gone right off his food and his weight has dropped really low again. he is off to c the CCT lady again today. i just really want him to be better.
