I've had my guinea pig for about a month now and she's hasn't grown at all. She's very small and skinny. And she eats a ton. My boy guinea pig grew really fast, but the vet still said he was too skinny. At what age should she be growing? or at what age should she be adult size? I talked to my vet about it and she said to bring in a stool sample to make sure it's not a bacterial thing (I believe she said bacterial). I just can't bring it to her until Monday, and I'm curious as to when she should be growing.

As for age, I have no idea for either of them. The one that's little-- I imagine she's only a few months (I adopted her from a pet store that has adoptions from the humane society). The bigger one-- her old owner said she was under a year, but I'm not so sure.
As for feeding them, I give the little one Mazuri. The bigger one has Kaytee Forti-Diet (still left over from her old owner that we got her from about a week ago) , but I'm transitioning her to Mazuri because I heard Kaytee is bad.
I haven't weighed them yet. I didn't even know you needed to weigh them until I came to this forum. (That's why I'm thankful for forums like this.) We're getting a scale as soon as possible. My fiance wants to order one online, so I'm letting him find one he likes.
Also, this has nothing to do with health at all, but what does pushing the "helpful" button do?

All pigs are different at growing and different weights . Does any of the pigs have diarrhea ? if not then why does your vet want a stool sample ? If their stools are fine i would think you are waisting your money at the vets . Have you ever wormed them ? Its only a suggestion but if you could weight them and let us know we will give you our opinion and try to advise you if they seem to be underweight . I have posted on here tonight about some of my pigs being lean not heavy pigs , thats why i am feeding them a little porridge oats . They are very healthy so i am not too worried You have got me interested to know what the helpful button is for too ! I just pressed it on weechee's ??

Also, this has nothing to do with health at all, but what does pushing the "helpful" button do? Helpful it is there if you think whomevers reply was indeed "helpful" when pressed the number nearby (score) increases ;D Niki x
