I have a soilid white guiea pig and his ears are like peeling but the don't seem to get raw.You can rub his ear and you have something come off i don't even know if it is skin but it only one ear.It hadn't seemed to bother him but lately i have found two little sores on it.

I had a curly boar with this not long ago and I rubbed it of and it didn't come back but if it has come back and has scabs then I am with Celia it could well be fungal. I would rub some Canesten or Daktarin cream into it and that should clear it up.

My Lenny has peeling ears too. What kind of cream can I use for it? I'm in the North East US. It seems that it's all dried up on the ends and can come off. I don't know how he got this? He's the only pig in the pen.

Use anti fungal cream such as Canesten used for thrush in humans or Daktarin for athletes foot in humans. Rub it in 3 timea day for at least 10 days or until it has gone.

Well I am glad to have found this...I noticed today Seth had a big scab in his ear (I'm guessing from scratching) and upon further inspection with a cotton swab was able to remove a large wad of dead black skin - it's like the skin in his ear was shedding like a snake Gross. I'll have to pick up some canesten this afternoon as well as a giant head of lettuce - that poor boy didn't like my fiddling with his ear one bit!
