My poor little piggy cries whenever I touch the lower half of her body. Not too long ago, I thought she was pregnant, so I took her to the vet for that and a checkup. The vet thought she was just chubby. But now with her crying when I touch her lower half, should I assume she's pregnant? Or what else could it be?
Wait, I just touched her and she didn't cry. But then I tried it again and she jumped and cried. And I'm barely touching her. I'm trying to figure out where she's hurting. Should I take her in?
Update: She stopped crying, but now will jump if I touch it. I think I'm going to take her in. I'll talk to a vet and see what they think.

She actually seems perfectly fine now. What do you think?

i think that guineas are very susceptible to getting ill and you should get her checked out just in case.

I have a few pigs that don't like their hind quarters or their flank touched it is quite normal to make an odd sound to warn you not to do it again.

My piggy Coco is the very same. She HATES me touching anywhere below her shoulders and at first i thought she was popcorning because the movements were so dramatic and she jumped so high but it is just a defence mechanism and she is also quite vocal. She lets out a deafening scream when i go to pick her up. I realize at this stage that she doesnt like being picked up or restricted with her movement so i take her out and keep her on my lap and give her parsley. That usually keeps her quiet long enough to brush her and check her nails. She is a stroppy little mare!!!
