Yeah, I am Dawn. I don't want her to lose weight while she's not eating much. She's not been too bad today, she ate a bit of her supper last night and managed a whole baby corn. Today she's been in her food bowl and been a bit more active.

Thanks celia! I don't have any metacam, the rodentologist did suggest I give her Calpol at 0.2mls a day. Purdy's still improving, last night she was eager for her supper and she's eaten most of it. She's also been eating grass and has been in her food bowl again this morning. Also, she's drinking again now (she had stopped). Of course, we rang the rodentologist yesterday morning as I thought it best for Purdy to go and stay with her for a few days as the syringe feeding has been difficult and I've been scared of hurting her. Typical that Purdy waits until we've got an appointment before she really starts perking up! I didn't want to cancel incase she took a step backwards so we're still going to go........mind you at least the rodentologist will be able to keep an eye on her teeth and make sure she does get enough food down her until she's fully recovered. (Purdy still fights me and spits some of the food out) We've got to take Ruby back for a teeth trim on Friday so we'll probably fetch Purdy back then so it'll only be 4 days that she's away. I do miss my babies terrible when they're not home but I just want to make sure that Purdy recovers properly.

Glad to hear this Amy... it sounds like she is doing well. I realize how difficult it must be to be separated from Purdy for a few days but you are doing the right thing and the four days will fly by hopefully!xx

Thanks Dawn. I'm missing her heaps already! But I know she'll be well looked after as Louise has always been brilliant with my piggies.

Well, we've just got back from the rodentologists and Purdy is home again. She's been doing ok and has started squeaking at veggie time now. I'm leaving her alone for the rest of today to let her settle back in. I'm just really glad she's home and seems to be on the mend.

Thanks celia! Purdy is pretty much back to her old self now and is eating normally. It's such a relief when they get well again!
