hey
My guinea Nina has a little clear discharge comin from both her eyes, its a worse in one than the other. I spoke to Vedra at CCT and she said to use Brolene eye drops twice a day for a week, which we did, this seemed to help at the time but when we stopped usin them it started again. She also had a slight crusty nose today and she hasnt had it before. she is her usual self and is eatin as usual and hasnt lost any weight. im not sure what to do now? any ideas on what it could be?
Thanks
Kerry

I'm not sure what else you could try....my two girls Amber and Ruby had crusty noses and watery eyes when I first adopted them. We were told to use Brolene eye drops by the CCT too and also to put a dab of Vicks on their noses. This cleared their problem up and they were fine. You could try using optrex in case she had blocked tear ducts. This might be of some help to you: www.oginet.com/pgurney/conjunc.htmI wish I could be more help but I'm sure other Members will have more advice for you.

Brolene is a good eye drop to use but for possible block ducts the Oprex Eye Ointment would be a good one. Vicks on the nose again is another one to help clear the discharged which seemingly alot of pigs have at the moment due to the weather. Hope your piggy gets well soon Sasha

hey guys
we took nina over to see vedra at cct. we took he friend fuschia as well. vedra said that there was no sign of infection or anything in ninas eye and they were booth fit as fiddles, she said it could be an allergy, so im goin to change their bedding 2moro to see if that helps. thanks for the advice.

I'm glad there's nothing major going on. I hope the change of bedding works, I used to have a piggy who suffered from an allergy and I put him on Carefresh bedding which helped a lot.
