I am so glad your little piggie is doing well. I have only just read these posts. I got my neutered as he was fighting with his cage mate, and I didn't want to separate them. He bounced back to normal within a few hours of bringing hime home.
Glad all went well From Kim

Good Morning all
Well lots of poo this morning not all the food gone but Emma(My daughter) did give him nearly half of a cucumber !! She did get upset at seeing his shaven belly but she is ok and informed me(as any 6 year old does!!) that as Sammy is now in the house she will be looking after him !! Ive held him this morning i could tell he was still sore so it wasnt for long and i have managed to take a photo which i will post a bit later for anyone thats interested. All seems to be fine with him he still aint 100% yet but i dont think i would be if id been messed with like he has. Im very proud of my little man!!
Rayfay - I cant wait to get him in with the girls he will love it but ive got to be patient, I think i read and was told about 3 weeks to wait which is actually when my prediction for Raggs to have her babies !!(Thats if she deffo is )

They are great pics. The vet has done I very good job of, there is no swelling, just rednees which is normal when they have their bits pulled about. Looks like that will heal nicely.
Glad all is ok From Kim

I forgot to ask. ... How much did his neutering cost?
|
|
|
Post by lovelypiggies on Jan 16, 2007 8:18:46 GMT
Hiya Rayfay it cost £35 which i thought was reasonable compared to the £70 one group practice wanted !!
He seems nearly back to normal i think he will be happier when he can hear the others he has been pulling clumps of fur only a couple so im trying to see where he got them from
I shall take another photo later so you can see how its healing !!

That does look a neat job and I'm glad he's healing well. In reply to your question is Fudge my only boar, no I've got two more who live together but Fudge lives alone above the girls. To be honest he's not unhappy now he's near the girls but I think he might be happier actually with a girl I'll have to give it some serious thought.
